Join the Turtle Bay Team for a high-energy, feel-good morning to beautify the Gardens! This opportunity is open to community members with a can-do attitude (ages 12 and up!) to roll up their sleeves for a one-day beautification adventure. Volunteers will spend the morning with Turtle Bay staff planting in the garden beds, weeding, mulching, raking leaves, and general tidying. In just 4 hours, see how you and your community can make a HUGE impact! This is a fantastic way to earn community service hours, meet new neighbors, get a little fresh air, and learn to find out what volunteering in the Turtle Bay Gardens is all about. No prior gardening experience is needed, team leads will show you exactly what to do.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Open to volunteers ages 12+ (Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event.)

  • No experience needed – training provided

  • Comfortable with light physical activity (standing, bending, etc.) and being outdoors for an extend time.

  • Enthusiasm for nature and community spaces

McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens

The McConnell Arboretum & Botanical Gardens are on the north side of the Turtle Bay Exploration Park campus and the Sundial Bridge and feature over 200-acres of native and non-native trees and plants.

Owned and operated by Turtle Bay Exploration Park, the gardens are central to its mission, offering educational experiences in sustainable horticulture while inspiring a deeper connection to nature. The gardens serve as a living classroom for school field trips, free monthly guided walks, Discovery Camps, and community events. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every ticket and membership directly supports the care and continued growth of this beautiful 10-acre landscape.
